Abstract
Nowdays, Agribusiness development in Indonesia are carried out using partnership model between agribusiness companies and farmer or farmer's groups. The actual partnerships occur in several divisions, starting from seeding to the technology development. From the agribusiness company side, this partnership model is expected to give profit andsmoothing the production process. In this position, the company will get the expected outcome, relatively. Eith its stable organization and established management, it will be able to run thepartnerships for the company’s interest. However, the same condition could not be felt bythefarmer or farmer's group.It caused by their unstable organization andpoorly established management, sothe benefits from the partnerships that they should receive are not thatoptimal. Relationshipsbetween the two tend to become a rational instrumental action with main orientation on economical benefit, and it is not on the actual pathnership which tendencies are on the equality between the company and farmer or farmer’s group. Therefore, the institutional strengthening effort in farmer or farmer’s group level is needed so they can have the bargaining position which wqual to the agribusiness company.
