    Abstract

    The development of the community as one of the model development approach is an effort involving the active participation of local communities and their existing resources, is no exception in the process of optimizing the ordinary village a village tour . These changes occurred along with the potential and needs of people going places that are still natural. Karanggeneng Tourist Village has a great potential in history, natural environment or geography and landscape, economy and culture Social and Architectural and spatial structure to develop a tourist village into tourist destination. The condition of people who are still was very embarrassed to participate in thoughts, energy and matter into its own constraints which need to be addressed wisely by the managers of rural tourism. This is related to the character of rural communities that are reluctant to stand out, though in fact is ready to actively participate if invited by the manager to participate. During this tour a lot of activity in the village supported by the manager of youth and youth with the mainstay of outbound packets. Therefore in rural tourism development should be based on Karanggeneng community participation in attractions and tour packages.
