    Abstract

    Resource Estimation obtained through calculation and analysis of exploration data that have been obtained in the form of outcrop, strike, dip, and thickness of the iron ore. Resource Assessment conducted in order to determine the estimated amount of tonnage of iron ore resource and subsequent stripping ratio will be calculated on that land. Location mapping located in the concession area P.T. Iron Mining Kotabesi covering 174 hectares, located in the Village District Kenyala Kotabesi Eastern Kotawaringin Middle East Kalimantan province. The purpose of this study was to apply the method of Cross Section in determining the amount of iron ore resource and ore resource estimate number of research areas. The method used in this study is by observation in the field, while the method of valuation reserves Cross Section used method by comparing the gradual changes to the guidelines nearest point. The results are expected to determine the volume of iron ore resource and also to determine the tonnage of iron ore and overburden ratio and determine the area of influence of each drill hole using the included regional influence area and extended area. The conclusion by using the method of Cross Section with gradual changes guidelines (rule of gradual change), the distance between the incision of ± 60 meters in the extended area of Iron Ore Resource Designated acquired amounted to 299,657.37 tons and included an area of 126,513.47 tons. Overburden volume obtained for the extended area is 707,273.73 BCM to overburden ratio 2,36:1 and included an area of 303,713.56 BCM with overburden ratio 2,40:1. Methods Cross Section with guidance nearest point (rule of nearest point) to the distance between the incision of ± 60 meters in the extended area of Iron Ore Resource Designated acquired amounted to 300,541.67 tons and included an area of 127,522.65 tons. Overburden volume obtained for the extended area is 708,800.09 BCM to overburden ratio 2.35:1 and included an area of 305,853.45 BCM, the overburden ratio 2,39:1.
