    Abstract

    Koefisien Transfer Massa pada Ekstraksi Biji Pala dengan Pelarut Etanol Sri Sudarmi dan Siswanti Jurusan Teknik Kimia Fakultas Teknologi Industri Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta Jalan SWK 104 (Lingkar Utara) Condongcatur, Yogyakarta (55283) Abstract Nutmeg oil could be extracted using ethanol solvent. Design of this extraction equipment needs a few factors. One of the affecting factor is mass transfer coefficient. This research is purposed to learn abaout mass transfer coefficient on nutmeg extraction using ethanol solvent. Extraction is done for the powder of nutmeg. After weigthing the powder, the powder is put into the fixed bed column. After that, ethanol solvent with specific velocity is flown. Sample taken in some time interval then extraction result will be analyzed. Observed variable is ethanol solvent velocity and high level of nutmeg pile. The observation and calculation results show the relation between mass transfer coefficient with the ethanol solvent velocity and level of nutmeg.
