Abstract
The climate’s condition during the year of 2010, one can say is above normal and occurred mostly all over the world. This anomaly climate will cause the differentiation in the water requirement of the water source supplied by the submersible pump. During the year of 2010, to supply the water with a stream size of 5.5 liter/second into every single pond with a size of 645 m2 will require 1.63 hp of pump power. At normal climate’s condition, the stream size of the water supply is 8 liter/second for every single pond with a size of 645 m2 and will require 2.37 hp of pump power. Based on the field observation, the water stream size and the pump power of the submersible pump being used is smaller than has been calculated, therefore for land area of 2 hectare will use more than 1 unit of submersible pump. At the anomaly climate condition during the year of 2010, the amount of the precipitation as natural water irrigation supply exceeds the water irrigation requirement (modulus of irrigation) for crops cultivation of paddy and baby corn. Therefore the application of the sprinkler irrigation system is not necessary. At normal climate’s condition, 1 unit of submersible pump able to be utilized for sprinkler irrigation system purpose with the specification of able to supply water more than 4.81 liter/second with minimum power of 1.43 hp.
