                            Abstract

                            ANALISIS PERMINTAAN KETELA POHON DI INDONESIA The Demand Analysis of Casava in Indonesia Indah Widowati ABSTRACT This purpose of this research are (1) to identify and to analyse the factors influence the demand of casava in Indonesia, and (2) to detect the elasticity of the price, the cross price, and the income from the demand of casava in Indonesia. This study utilized the time data series during the period of of 17 years (from 1969 up to 1985). The analysis was the statical demand function. The research indicated that the factors influencing the casava demand were the prices of rice, sweet potatoes, soybean, corn, and the incomes. It was also known that the income elasticity to the positive demand in Indonesia was in elastic the statical demand model has the income elasticity to the positive demand. This situation indicated that the casava was a normal commodity. The commodities such as rice, sweet potatoes, and soybean were the complement of casava. This was shown by the regression whereas corn was the substitute of casava. It was indicated by the regression coefficient rate with the positive mark. Keywords : demand, elasticity, casava.
